Here is a very excited Eric. The camera strap is from my parents camera they bought in the seventies. Eric loves it.

Here is a photo of all of the jersey-winners.
We were that close! It was fun to hear the commentators, they were in the tent next to ours. Also there was a live feed on two tvs in our tent. There was so much information on the screen: topography, speed–they got up to 56 mph on the decents! the spread of the field, etc. We were spoiled to have some finger foods and drinks too. A friend from high school that is a Ewings Sarcoma survivor, works for the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and was able to be at all the legs of the race. She was able to find some VIP passes for us. We had a great time talking to other survivors, especially a lady that battled breast cancer from Texas, reconnecting with my high school friend, watching the riders come in, and enjoying the festivities of the day. Hopefully next year we can go to more than one leg of the tour!
Peace,
Katy
