It is HOT… and other random updates

Today was cooler. Thursday and Friday were HOT. So hot you end up lethargic and laying around not making much sense of your words. Doing anything domestic is totally out of the question. We went to get frozen yogurt–yum–and that kind of helped. I felt extra bad for our kitties, but they didn’t complain and were troopers. We have one fan and it helped–but I definitely miss air conditioning! Thank goodness it cools down at night here.

Last night we saw Wall-E. It was a great movie. I’m not sure what animated movie I saw last at a theater, but this was a fabulous ending to the week.

This morning we had a super-yummy breakfast. I made light Bisquick biscuits (with yogurt and water–we never seem to have milk in the house). I layered the biscuits with warmed frozen raspberries and a sprinkling of powdered sugar. Yummy. I wish I would have thought to take a photo–but I didn’t. I’m sure I’ll make them again and take a photo then.

In other good news Eric passed his kidney stone. He passed it on his birthday–poor guy. It was twice as long as the doctor said it’d be from looking at the CT scan. Needless to say we are all much relieved. They are analyzing it–eww–and hopefully we’ll know how to prevent more of these little “BIG” annoyances.
