Britex Fabric Sale

I’m not sure if any of you are in the Bay area. I signed up to be on the Britex mailing list and quite frankly thought I’d fallen through the cracks because I never heard from them. Until today. Looks like they are having a sale Feb. 16-17 with 30% off everything. There are a few exceptions, leave a comment if you’re really curious. I see no mention of it on their website, but it doesn’t look like you need a coupon or anything. Enjoy! I know I will.

I called to see if they carried tie interfacing. They don’t. They are looking for a supplier, though. I purchased a tie-making book from David Coffin and followed Cidell, through her tie-making saga. Looks like I’ll be ordering interfacing from the person David Coffin recommended–I’m not sure you can get it anywhere else! The price is more than fair, I just hate waiting for shipping. Eric is chomping at the bit for me to get moving on this project. I already bought the silk, 20 yard bundle for $20 at Fabric Mart and there is a really cool grey and green striped one he’s claimed. Thankfully 3 yards came in the bundle, so I’m thinking I’ll make a coordinating skirt. Cheesy, I know, but it has a very preppy military school feel and I think we can pull it off!

Peace,

Katy

  1. You can totally do it! But, do you want to try to do the six or seven fold instead so you won’t need any interfacing?

  2. Hey Cidell,

I looked in the pamphlet and there were minimal instructions on these. Do you have any advice, extra instructions? Like do you bag line it then fold it?
